This series 'begins at the beginning'. It will provide new students with the
foundation necessary to build a lifelong yoga practice and will inspire
continuing students interested in deepening their practice and taking it beyond
the mat. Coming back to the foundation from a new perspective can allow
insights and recognition of subtleties. No prior yoga experience is necessary and people of
every age and body type are encouraged to join us.
In this five-week series, we will

your body awareness, relax your senses, and calm your mind. You will finish the
series with an effective understanding of the fundamentals of yoga and with the
tools necessary to continue your yoga journey.
Instructor:
Stacy Smith, RYT 500, has studied yoga since 1998 and continues to both study and teach at The Yoga Center in Portland, Maine and YogaLife
Institute in Exeter, NH . She approaches yoga in a holistic manner, blending
the insights of Classical and Iyengar yoga with Ayurvedic teachings to nurture physical, psychological, and
spiritual well-being.
